Why no sticker prices?

Because a fair price for a 400-student elementary school and a 40,000-student county system is never the same number, and posting one flat rate would mean overcharging one of them. Enrollment, site count, device mix, and whether you need on-premise components all move the math.

What we can promise is a fast, honest process: tell us your enrollment and structure, and we build a quote from the same rate card every other district sees — no mystery discounts negotiated in a back room, no "call for pricing" runaround that goes nowhere. You'll see the inputs, not just the output.

Included in Every Tier, No Exceptions

Some vendors lock core data behind their top plan. We don’t. These six things come with every tier, Single School through Enterprise.

All CIPA Categories Classified

Obscenity, child exploitation, and harmful-to-minors content categories classified and ready to integrate.

SafeSearch-Ready Labels

Domains carrying SafeSearch-relevant labels so your filter can enforce restricted mode across search and video platforms.

Multiple Delivery Formats

API, CSV, DNS/RPZ, PAC, hosts files, firewall EDL — integrate the database into whatever infrastructure you run.

120M+ Domain Database

The same 120M+ categorized domain database is included in every tier — higher plans add delivery formats, not more data.

Real Support, Not Tickets Into a Void

Email support is standard everywhere; higher tiers simply shorten the response clock.

Daily Classification Updates

~300,000 new domains classified every day. Your filter stays current without manual list maintenance.

What Actually Drives Your Quote

Six inputs, in the order our team walks through them on a quoting call.

1

Total enrollment

The single biggest lever. We price per student per year, so district size sets the base of the quote before anything else is considered.

2

Integration scope

A single school using API lookups and a 12-building district downloading the full database in multiple formats have different data delivery needs.

3

Delivery formats needed

API-only access is the simplest path. Full CSV downloads, DNS/RPZ blocklists, PAC files, and firewall EDL exports are included at District tier and above.

4

Tier selection

Single School, District, District + AI Database, or Enterprise/State — each adds delivery formats, data depth, and support on top of the base database access.

5

AI Blocklist add-on

The 16,328+ domain AI Tools database with 18 categories and 165+ subcategories is included at the District + AI tier and above, or available as a standalone add-on.

6

Contract length

Multi-year commitments unlock volume breaks. Annual terms stay flexible but don't carry the same discount.

Built to Survive a School Budget Cycle

School budgets get approved once, revisited rarely, and scrutinized by people who weren’t in the room when the technology decision was made. A database subscription that changes shape mid-year turns a routine renewal into a board meeting problem.

We price to avoid that. The quote you sign is the quote you pay, for the length of the term you sign it for. No per-device fees, no overage charges, no surprise hardware costs.

  • Fixed-term database subscription locked for the life of the contract
  • No hardware — it is a data service, not an appliance
  • Volume-based, not per-device pricing
  • Quotes formatted for board packets and PO systems
  • Multi-year options for rate stability across a budget cycle

How Buying Actually Works

Three steps from first contact to a signed order — no discovery-call maze.

Step 1

Tell us your footprint

Enrollment, site count, and whether devices leave campus. Five minutes on a form or a call, whichever you prefer.

Step 2

Get a written quote

Most quotes arrive within one business day, itemized and formatted for procurement review — nothing binding yet.

Step 3

Sign and go live

Once your PO or contract clears, provisioning is a cloud configuration step, not an installation project.

Structured for E-Rate, Without Requiring It

CIPA compliance is the condition E-Rate discounts are built on, and web filtering is one of the categories most districts fund through that program. We built our pricing structure with that reality in mind: quotes are itemized clearly enough to sit in an E-Rate Form 470/471 filing without rework, and our team is used to working alongside the consultants and business office staff who manage that paperwork. If your district funds filtering through E-Rate, we can align contract language and invoicing cadence to match your funding year rather than making you translate between two calendars.

That said, plenty of districts and independent schools buy without ever touching E-Rate — private schools, small charter networks, and state-funded programs among them. The pricing structure doesn't assume E-Rate participation and doesn't penalize districts that skip it. You get the same enrollment-based quote either way; the only difference is which paperwork trail sits alongside the purchase order.

Timing Your Purchase Around the Funding Year

E-Rate's funding year runs July through June, and Form 471 filing windows open early in the calendar year with results that can take months to land. Districts that wait until a filing decision is final before engaging a vendor often end up compressing implementation into the final weeks before the school year starts. We'd rather you talk to us earlier: a written, non-binding quote in hand during the filing window makes the paperwork more accurate and takes the guesswork out of budgeting for the discount share you're responsible for.

If your funding request is denied, reduced, or delayed, our quotes don't expire the moment E-Rate results post. We can hold pricing, adjust term length, or restructure a quote around district general funds so a funding setback doesn't turn into a compliance gap on August's first day of school.

Pricing & Plans FAQ

The questions business offices and IT directors ask most before signing.

Per-student pricing moves with volume, contract length, site count, and whether off-campus devices need coverage. A single flat number would overcharge small districts and undercharge complex ones. A quick quote request gets you the real number without the guesswork.
Most quotes go out within one business day of receiving enrollment and site details. Complex multi-site or Enterprise/State requests with custom terms can take a little longer.
No. A quote is informational until you sign a purchase order or contract. You can request one to plan a budget line a year in advance with no obligation to buy.
Total student headcount across the sites you want covered, based on your most recent official count. Staff and faculty accounts are typically included at no additional per-seat charge.
The District tier filters AI tools that already fall under existing categories, but the AI Blocklist bundle adds a purpose-built, daily-updated list of 16,328+ AI-tool domains across 18 categories and 165+ subcategories, including deepfake and companion-chat coverage that general category filtering doesn't specifically target.
Yes. Tier changes are a configuration and contract update, not a re-platform. Districts that grow through consolidation or annexation move up tiers without losing policy history.
Adding off-campus coverage to a plan that didn't originally include it is a contract amendment with its own quote. If your original tier already includes it, expanding your 1:1 rollout doesn't trigger a new charge beyond normal enrollment-based adjustments.
Standard cloud onboarding is included in the subscription price for Single School and District tiers. Enterprise/State engagements involving on-premise components or custom policy work may include a scoped implementation fee, which is always itemized in the quote up front.
Yes. We regularly itemize quotes to match E-Rate filing requirements and can work directly with your E-Rate consultant or business office on documentation and timing.
Your quote doesn't disappear with a funding decision. We can restructure term length or pricing to fit general-fund budgeting so filtering coverage isn't interrupted while you sort out funding.
Yes. Multi-year commitments unlock volume-based rate breaks and lock your per-student price against future increases for the length of the term.
On-premise components are standard only at Enterprise/State. Districts below that tier with a specific on-premise requirement can raise it during quoting and we'll scope what's possible.
That falls under Enterprise/State. Reach out through the quote request form and note that you're inquiring on behalf of a consortium, co-op, or state program, and we'll route you to a dedicated account engineer for contracted terms.
